About

Me

Grew up the oldest of four in New Jersey suburban paradise. Went on to University of Pennsylvania for undergrad years, where I was the executive editor of The Daily Pennsylvanian and also occasionally attended classes. After college, I worked as a reporter at The Philadelphia Inquirer briefly and then went to the London School of Economics for graduate work in international relations and international law. I returned to the University of Pennsylvania for law school, and then went to work as a lawyer in London and then New York.

I left the practice of law after having my first son, turning to freelance journalism to occupy the hours between feedings in the middle of the night. After having my second son, I got divorced and moved back in with my parents in what will inevitably be a sitcom.

Through the graces of God and JDate, I met a terrific man, married him and proceeded to go on a pregnancy spree, having two girls in rapid succession. We're due for our third girl together in fall 2013.

In all my free time (!), I write for various print and Internet publications. Sometimes, I sleep.
